Room to Roam

A Brand for Huntly by Jacques Coetzer

The phrase Room to Roam comes from a poem by Huntly-born author George MacDonald, in his work Phantasies, first published in 1858. The Waterboys set the words to music in the title track of their 1990 Room to Roam album. The song is now the strapline for the Huntly brand, and is backed by a number of strong visual design elements. Jacques Coetzer developed the Huntly - Room to Roam brand with the local community. The project was commisioned by Aberdeenshire Towns Partnership Huntly in collaboration with Deveron Arts and Aberdeenshire Council arts Development.
