Artist in residence Stéfanie Bourne opens her studio, (Deveron Arts Empty Shop, Bogie Street) and turns it into a late night shop for bartering plants and vegetables every Thursday night from 5-7pm over the summer. Come and buy fresh fish at SoleMates Fishmongers this Thursday from 6pm. Exchange your home grown vegetables, herbs and fruit with other local produce.
As well as the late opening there will be a series of talks held in the shop and in other locations ins Huntly:
1 July 2010, 5pm Talk by Nom Right, Aberdeenshire Council: Household, Domestic Waste and Recycling Policies
8 July 2010 Talk by Maria Perkins, Clasmach Centre: Urban Agriculture
29 July 2010 Pampered Chef demonstration, Linden Centre
Please note that the following businesses have agreed to stay open on Thursday night for late shopping: Forbes Raeburn, Eltunertives, Strathbogie Saw Service and Hair & Beauty.
