Shadow Curator
During the winter of 2006/07 Nuno Sacramento is the Shadow Curator of Claudia Zeiske, Director of Deveron Arts. Shadow Curator is to the Appointed Curator, what the Shadow Minister is to the appointed Minister in government.
During this period they will be engaging in a discussion concerning the approaches and strategies of contemporary arts in a rural environment. The aim of this critical curatorial residency is to develop a comprehensive document that lays out the mission of Deveron Arts, and which proposes forms of evaluation and monitoring for the projects developed over the last few years.
This task should not be taken on in solitude, but rather in dialogue, through curatorial support, advice and critique.
The outcome of this residency will be a book that attempts to redefine curatorial and institutional evaluative parameters.
