Slow Marathon

Mihret Kebede has been exploring the journey from Ethiopia to Scotland by foot. She would have liked to walk the whole distance, but desert and closed borders made such a feat almost impossible. She needed enough people to accummulate 225 marathons (26 miles/42 km) to cover the 5850 miles from Addis Ababa to Huntly - each way.

With the help of over 500 people accumulating miles over the last three month and by taking part in the Slow Marathon in Huntly on the 17th of March or the Slow Marathon in Addis on the 18th of March Mihret has reached her goal.
