David Blyth

Town Artist

David Blyth has undertaken the first ever residency offered by Deveron Arts back in 1998. Since than David has made a return visit to the town in his two-year position as town artist during 2005-7. The idea of the Town Artist is a collaborative project which seeks to develop dynamic partnerships between local groups and Deveron Arts.

During this time David has embarked on a number of projects, addressing themes as wide as people's relationship to animals, bothy ballads and farming life. His time in Huntly culminated in a project entitled Knockturne, for which he worked with a local sheep farmer during the lambing season.
