Paul Anderson was Huntly's first town fiddler in 2003/4. During his residency he produced the 'Strathbogie Collection' containing 25 new written pieces for the Scottish fiddle, including a jig on Bogie Street, a quickstep on Deans of Huntly and a reel on Huntly Football Club. He has also worked with local youngsters from the Strathbogie Fiddlers and the Jessiman Dance School.
Paul played regularly on Tuesday lunchtimes at the Crown Bar, when everyone was welcome to join in. Paul's residency culminated in a performance at the Stewarts Hall. The Strathbogie Collection, as it was called, featured his new jigs, reels and marches written on life and love in Huntly. Paul was accompanied by the comedian and pianist George Donald (well-known from his time with Scotland the What).
