7000 Oaks

I think the tree is an element of regeneration which in itself is a concept of time
Joseph Beuys

7000 oaks is a long-term ambition by Deveron Arts to make Joseph Beuys dream come true and plant the 7000 oaks in Scotland.

In the meantime with have started with a few events.

Event 1: Art Breakfast with Richard Demarco

Joseph Beuys in Scotland

Richard Demarco has given an illustrated talk about Joseph Beuys' visits and activities in the Ranoch Moor and elsewhere in Scotland, where he developed the thought of the tree as an element of regeneration as a concept of time in itself.

Arts Breakfasts are a series of social events to trigger networking and discussion among the arts community in the North East of Scotland. This breakfast is part of Deveron Arts Slow Down programme with lead artist Jacqueline Donachie.

'I think the tree is an element of regeneration which in itself is a concept of time.' (Joseph Beuys).
