Jonathan’s residency in Huntly involved a range of works developed from his relationship to the natural environment. These works were placed at various locations around the town including Gordon Primary School, Nordic Ski-Centre, Acanthus Architects and Sellar Agriculture shop.

In Horizons, a recurring sky blue, pink and cream motif covers various walls of Gordon Primary Schools playgrounds. The pink line echoes the horizon of the distant hills beyond the playing fields. It is at once a subtle work for the visitor whilst being a visual memory of the playground for all pupils and staff of the school.
